Although the two magazines are school magazines they are very different. They share some similarities and some differences. One of the similarities are they both have main images. This is because main images feature in all magazines. Another similarity is they both have main articles. This would be the main story to attract the target audience. They also have some differences; the King Edward’s magazine is lighted in daylight. However the High profile magazine is lighted from the centre of the magazine but the corners are shaded. As you can see from both magazines they don’t look professional and they don’t follow all the codes and conventions of real magazines. Real magazines have more by-lines, cover lines and pay particular attention to different fonts and the house style. They are also more filled. So for my school magazines, I would try and use a lot of cover lines and by-lines in order to make it look more professional.
